Responsible for application development. The function focuses on maintaining / enhancing applications for non-legacy / non-mainframe systems. Examples of languages utilized are: Visual Basic, Power Builder, SQL Windows, C CORBA, COM, C++, Visual C++, Smalltalk Java, Java Script, Java Swing, HTML, DHTML, Perl / CGI, EJB, XML, ASP, XLS, JSP, JNI, RMI, and Cold Fusion. Also, responsible for web development. 1. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact2. May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management3. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees4. May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)5. More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas6. Delivers a work product that requires less revision7. Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions8. Consults with partners from systems and other business units regarding new techniques, practices, or technologies in data processing and the impact of proposed and ongoing projects9. Evaluates and makes recommendations on techniques, practices or technologies that would enhance business needs. Also ensures continuous process improvements10. Participates in strategic planning and long-range direction for technology in the business unit.
A College or University degree and/or relevant 5-7 years proven work experience is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are requiredIn-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is requiredHighly flexible and adaptable to changeTechnical skills / systems knowledge is required
